Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry Final Project- Topic 2
Since Cassie was the narrator, all of the events in the story were told from her perspective. Choose a part of the novel that you thought was important, and act out that situation from another character’s perspective. (You may have to include that character’s thoughts like Cassie included her thoughts in the novel).
You will make an iMovie of your skit. This project must be original and creative, organized, and must truly show your knowledge of the characters and the content from the novel. Make sure to be “in character” during the skit and to use dialect like that of the Logan family.
You will use your wikispaces account to create a wiki where your group will be able to collaborate and add information for the final product. You can organize your script on the wiki.
There is a rubric on the back of this sheet explaining how the final product will be graded. You will have some time in class to work on the project, but you must spend time at home researching and planning. You can add the information you find at home to your wiki, where your group can easily access and edit the information.
Mrs. Michael or Mrs. Fritts will meet with your group individually to further discuss requirements and your plans for this project. Jenna- (walk over to kevin and poke his shoulder)

(Kevin ignores Jenna)
Jenna-Sir! you forgot about us.
Kevin-Whos black child is this!
Jenna-I'm no ones black child sir!
Kevin-(throws Jenna out the door)
Kevin-You'd better get out a here and never come back! You'd better learn what y are. Y hear!
Jenna-(walks out crying and runs into Angelique)
Caroline-Why not y apologize to me right now!
Jenna-But you the one who run into me Lillian-Jean.
Caroline- my name is not Lillian-Jean - I's Miss Lillian-Jean! Now apologize.
Jenna-I'm sorry.
Sam- (walks up to Caroline and Jenna.)
Sam-How dare you run into my daughter like that, now apologize.
Jenna-but I already did sir.
Sam-I said to apologize!
Jenna-(start to cry)
I did Mr. Simmes.
Sam- (throw Jenna in the street and twist her arm.)
Sam-Apologize to my daughter when I tell you to!
Caroline-(smirks at Jenna)
(Angelique walks up to Jenna.)
Jenna-Big Ma Mr. Simmes is trying to make me apologize to that Lillian-Jean.
Angelique-Apologize to Miss Lillian-Jean Cassie .
(Jenna cry's)
Jenna- I'm sorry Miz-Lillian-Jean.
Sam-Now run away and learn what you are.
